Charles Sturt University (CSU) is one of Australia's newer universities, having been incorporated in 1989, however its heritage in the teaching and agricultural colleges of regional NSW goes back to 1895. Today, CSU is a major tertiary education institution with eleven campuses spread across the state. With these many campuses, the University covers one of the largest geographical areas of Australian Universities. In 2009, CSU set out to deploy a campus-wide wireless network based on 802.11n. After a rigorous process, CSU selected the proposal from Cirrus and Motorola.
When complete, the network will be one of the largest WiFi networks in the country. The network design draws on Cirrus' deep expertise in wireless design - for both indoor and outdoor environments and Motorola's unmatched wireless equipment portfolio.
